IBIS LTD Sp. z o.o. is the biggest manufacturer of machines for bakeries and confectioneries in Poland. Its strong position has not changed from 170 years. The company can be proud because it is one of few, in the region, that can say so much about the long history of its functioning and development. The first locksmith institute upraised in 1836 and produced machines for different kinds of industrial institutions. After the World War II the company gained potential production and trade specialization, it was then that the functioning institute initiated, and on its place the “Spomasz” Fabric of grocery machines and utilities came into existence.
The breakthrough of the functioning of the fabric came in 1992. The existing of the capitalism and competition in Poland resulted in the change of the organization in the institute. Finding an international investor for the company with such a big potential production and trade was not difficult. In April 1992 a partnership raised with the international capital of IBIS International Bakery industries Spomasz. In 2002 the majority of participations of IBIS partnership were overtaken from the investor by a foreign polish partnership “Mercator”. In due time the company specialized in the production of utilities and machines for bakeries and confectionaries. IBIS continued the tradition of systematical moderation of products thanks to which we can say that it is a precursor of new solutions in mechanization of productions in bakeries and confectionaries. It was IBIS that brought the modern spiral mixers. IBIS was the first polish producer of cyclothermic deck and rack ovens that almost swept off the ceramic ovens. In the companies offer there are also pipe ovens, confectionaries utilities like planetary mixers, baguette moulders and sheeters. IBIS machines are popular among clients and appreciated by the jury of competitions-lately the golden medal in POLAGRA FOOD 2005 for the line for bread production with products like dough divider, conical rounder, intermediate proffer and elongating moulder.
IBIS is also active in the life of the bakery branch. It is one of the organizer or sponsors of regional and international events incited by associations of bakers. From several years it provides machines and utilities to help conduct bakery and confectionaries competitions during important merchandise events in Bydgoszcz. It supports cultural, sport and educational events organized in the kujawsko-pomorskie province.
